CS & Chem at UIUC. Cali kid at heart.

I'm a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying Computer Science and Chemistry, minoring in Applied Stats. I'm currently an R&D+SWE Intern at Frore Systems.

Fast Facts

3 Research Projects, 1 Publication

The ONR Medallion and 1st Place at Intel ISEF Affiliate for research on cancer. 3rd Place for stroke. The NSTA/Toshiba Exploravision Award for computational protein design. Pending publication. Mentioned in El Estoque.

James Scholar, Dean's List, etc.

Part of the top 10% of the college as a James student. Top 20% of the college by GPA (3.88) for Dean's. Part of Artificial Intelligence SIG, HackIllinois, and ACM.

Work in Education

Built a platform for analyzing and storing student transcript data using PyTorch for the Santa Clara County Office of Education. Created 5-star rated Udemy courses with my high school chemistry teacher. Even started a bootcamp on introductory chemistry for two winters!

4x Intern

Worked at Frore Systems as an R&D Intern twice and as their first R&D+SWE Intern in the summer of 2020! Did machine learning, process engineering, and materials research at their lab in Santa Clara. I also worked for Genetic Foresight at Berkeley as a Research and Software Intern, building data-friendly full stack apps.

Experience

Frore Systems

R&D+SWE Intern

June 2020 - Present

Improved time efficiency by 28% through Bayesian networks in PyTorch for building a light refraction interpreting tool. Developed an automated pipeline system in wet lab which churned samples at a 56% faster rate. Created a novel cleaning process (40% faster and 20% less defective). Created and managed database of piezo inventory (10^7 items).

R&D Intern (x2)

December 2019 - January 2020
June 2019 - August 2019

Conducted and improved thermal characterization lab procedures to safely assemble and automate flexible MEMS devices for heat dissipation used in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Developed and tested methods to coat piezoelectric materials on stainless steel substrates using RTP, spin-coat, and die-coat process lab techniques.

Genetic Foresight

Research and Software Intern

June 2018 - July 2018

Developed the website using JavaScript and SQL tools for easy patient data acquisition and storage with integration to ensure dynamic analysis of patient trends in DNA for medicines like cisplatin and anastrozole.

Valkyrie Robotics

Director of Mechanical Engineering

May 2017 - May 2018

Coordinated design, fabrication, and assembly of large electromechanical devices. Used SolidWorks and C++ for design and function. Received Runner-Up at Capital City Classic in 2016, while serving as Operator.
